Resident killed as suspects shoot, set fire to Agusan del Norte home

A resident was killed and two other household members were injured as seven suspects shot and set fire to a house in Agusan del Norte.

A 24 Oras Weekend report on Sunday identified the fatality Joel Abuabu, while the two injured were his cousins.

The cousins said they were having dinner when the shooting occurred.

Four other members of their household were able to hide and escaped uninjured.

Based on an initial investigation, seven men with high-caliber firearms were behind the crime.

The assault may have been rooted in a personal conflict.
