Cargo vessel tilts, 4 vehicles fall into sea in Quezon

A cargo vessel tilted causing four vehicles aboard it to fall into sea at Real Port in Quezon province on Friday, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) reported.

Based on the initial report, PCG said "cargo vessel LCT Balesin listed while loading" at the port.

"It led to overboard four vehicles including one wing van loaded of frozen goods, one dump truck of sand, one dump truck of gavel, and one wing van loaded of steel bar," the report added.

The PCG said 25 individuals were on board, including 11 auxiliary workers, nine crew, and five drivers.

No passengers and crew members were reportedly injured or went missing during the incident.

The Coast Guard said it is conducting an ongoing retrieval of floating goods and clearing of debris.—With a report from Peewee Bacuno/LDF, GMA News
