The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) on Tuesday said initial investigation showed that the recent fire incident in a fastcraft vessel in Bohol possibly started from the engine room.

In a radio interview, PCG spokesperson Commodore Armand Balilo said the investigation into the fire incident is still ongoing.

“Sa initial inquiry ayon sa kapitan at crew, mukhang sa engine room na naman po nagsimula itong sunog na nangyari dito sa fastcraft,” he said.

(Based on initial inquiry with the captain and crew, it looks like the fire in this fastcraft started from the engine room again),” he said.
