Magnitude 5.1 quake shakes Pidigan, Abra

A magnitude 5.1 earthquake hit the town of Pidigan, Abra early Thursday morning, the Philippine Institute of Seismology and Volcanology (PHIVOLCS) reported.

The earthquake, which was tectonic in origin, struck at 4:02 am with a depth of 10 kilometers.

The quake was also felt in Bangued, Abra at Intensity IV.

The agency said there may be damage reported but no aftershocks are expected. -- BAP, GMA News
