75-year-old nabbed for abuse of PWD in Tarlac

A 75-year-old man was arrested by authorities for alleged sexual assault of a woman with disability in Tarlac City.

According to the Tarlac Provincial Office, the suspect, a resident of Barangay Maligaya, was arrested after the 21-year-old deaf and mute victim filed a complaint against him.

Investigation showed that the victim lives in the house of the suspect’s daughter in Barangay Calingcungan.

The alleged abuse took place on August 7 at around 2 a.m., while the victim was sleeping.  She narrated the incident to her sister who immediately reported it to the Tarlac City Police Station.

Police personnel responded resulting in the arrest of the suspect.  Documents are being readied for the filing of charges before the court.—Mel Matthew Doctor/LDF, GMA News
