Man on roadside killed in hit-and-run by speeding SUV in Cabanatuan

By GMA News

A man who had just alighted from his tricycle at the side of road was killed after he was hit by an SUV in Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija.

According to Russel Simorio’s report on GMA Regional TV “One North Central Luzon”, the victim was identified as Alvin Descula.

Descula hit the pavement due to the impact. He sustained head and body injuries but instead of helping him, the SUV driver continued to speed off.

“Hindi ko matanggap na namatay na ‘yung anak ko,” Emily Descula, the victim’s mother said.

(I cannot accept that my son is dead.)

(I cannot visit him at the morgue because I cannot accept what happened to him. I cannot even help him because I don’t know who did this to him.)

The victim’s family is seeking justice for his death.

(I hope he will face the problem he caused himself. He should give justice to my son’s death.)

Police said they are continuously investigating the hit-and-run incident but admitted they have yet to identify the suspect.

(We have yet to identify the suspect but we have a lead. It’s just that we cannot identify the plate number because it was not captured by the CCTV. However, we know it was a black SUV that hit the victim.) —Sundy Locus/NB, GMA News
