Murder complaint filed against suspect in killing of 2-year-old Tarlac boy

A murder complaint was filed against the 16-year-old suspect who allegedly killed a two-year-old boy in Tarlac's Concepcion town, police said Sunday.

In an interview on Super Radyo dzBB, Concepcion Police chief Police Lieutenant Colonel Noriel Rombaoa said that also charged with murder was the suspect’s friend.

However, Rombaoa said they had yet to find the suspect’s friend.

“At the same time, tinanong namin ang kapitbahay kung mayroong ganoong tao, wala naman. Sa barangay din po hindi kilala. So magkaganon man, sinama pa rin naman sa kaso ‘yung pangalan na binaggit po niya,” he said.

According to Rombaoa, the suspect said in an extrajudicial confession that there was a plan to kill the boy because friends told the suspect to create one.

“Bale po kung mababasa niyo po ang extrajudicial confession niya, plano niya talagang patayin dahil ang allegations pa nga niya ay mga kaibigan siyang nag-udyok sa kanya,” the police official said.

“So ‘yung mga kaibigan niyang ‘yun, nu'ng time na nandun ang bata ng November 23 ng hapon... sinabi, 'Yun na ‘yung anak ng kaaway mo. Para makaganti ka,'” he added.

To recall, Axel Castro of Barangay Green Village was found dead at the house of a neighbor a day after he went missing on Wednesday.

Castro was gagged and had wounds when he was found at the house of the suspect.

Based on the investigation, Axel's mother and the suspect quarreled over an insulting social media post.

The suspect confessed to the crime and is now under the custody of the Department of Social Welfare and Development Pampanga, Rombaoa said. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
