Some Northern Luzon bridges, roads flooded due to heavy rains

Heavy rains in the past few days have caused flooding in several roads and bridges in Northern Luzon, according to a report on Balitanghali from GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon on Tuesday.

Three bridges were affected by floods in Isabela: Baculod, Santa Maria-Cabagan, and Cabagan Santo Tomas Overflow bridges.

Agricultural fields near Cagayan River, meanwhile, were also flooded, causing the residents to evacuate their livestock.

Some roads in Tuguegarao City in Cagayan were also not passable due to flooding.

Meanwhile, authorities continue to monitor the floods experienced in Cagayan and Isabela.

According to PAGASA weather specialist Veronica Torres, a low pressure area is being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

Torres said moderate to heavy with at times intense rains are expected in CARAGA Region, Eastern and Central Visayas.

"Sa kasalukuyan mababa ang tsansa na pumasok ito sa ating Philippine Area of Responsibility [There is little chance that the LPA will enter PAR]," she said. —Sherylin Untalan/KBK, GMA Integrated News
