DOTr: 25 drivers complete 'Tsuper Iskolar' program in Caraga

A total of 25 scholars have graduated from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Driving NCII under the Department of Transportation's (DOTr) Tsuper Iskolar Program.

According to Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Caraga Region, the program was held at Cabadbaran City, Agusan del Norte, last February 22, 2023.

Twenty-four scholars were from Caraga Butuan Transport Service Cooperative and one came from Agusan Sur Transport Service Cooperative.

Aside from the free skill training assessment, they also received P350 per training as their food and transport allowance for 15 days.

LTFRB Caraga's Emmanuel Ian Primero attended the program together with the personnel from the Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program - Regional Project Management Office and TESDA.

The government initiated the Tsuper Iskolar program to provide free skills training, skills assessment, and entrepreneurship training to PUV drivers, conductors, and their family members.—Sherylin Untalan/LDF, GMA Integrated News
