TD Amang disrupts sea trips in Bicol ports

All passenger trips on the eight ports in the Bicol Region were suspended on Tuesday due to Tropical Depression Amang.

In a report by Manny Vargas on super radyo dzBB, the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) enforced cancellations of trips in the following ports:

Baseport Legazpi (Albay)

Port of Tabaco (Albay)
Port of Pio Duran (Albay)
Port of Pasacao (Camarines Sur)

Port of Virac (Catanduanes)
Port of San Andres (Catanduanes)
Port of Bulan (Sorsogon)
Port of Matnog (Sorsogon)

The announcement was made after PAGASA raised Tropical Cyclone Warning No. 1. on Region 5.

PPA advised affected passengers to monitor shipping line updates.

Meanwhile, according to PAGASA's 11 a.m. bulletin, thirteen areas in Luzon and Visayas were placed under TCWS No. 1 as Tropical Depression Amang accelerated while moving westward toward the coast of Catanduanes. â€”Giselle Ombay/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
