Senior high school student with gunshot wound on her head found in hit-and-run car

An 18-year-old senior high school student with a gunshot wound on her head was found inside a car left by its driver who fled after hitting a motorcycle in General Santos City on Tuesday night.

According to the report on "Saksi" by GMA Regional TV One Mindanao's Abbey Caballero, the victim Kyla Jane Serafin was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.

The car had hit a motorcycle and its driver fled the scene. It reportedly dragged the motorcycle for four kilometers.

Recovered from inside the vehicle were weapons, illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, and cash.

The cars driver was identified as Buddy Villaruel, said to be the victim's live-in partner.

He is allegedly the subject of a buy-bust operation by the Regional Police Drug EnforcementUnit 12.

Police believe that the couple were escaping when they hit the motorcycle. —NB, GMA Integrated News
