Terror group's alleged financial facilitator nabbed in Sultan Kudarat

Authorities nabbed the alleged financial facilitator of a terrorist that was behind several bombings in Mindanao, John Consulta reported Saturday on “24 Oras Weekend.”

The suspect Racma “Raks” Dinggo Hassan was arrested at the Sultan Kudarat Provincial Hospital in Isulan.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) said she is the wife of Norodin “Andot” Hassan, the former emir of Daulah Islamiyah Hassan Group, who was slain during an encounter with the military last January 15, 2022 in Barangay Tunganon, Carmen, Cotabato.

Racma Hassan served as the alleged financial facilitator and liaison officer of the terrorist group that operated in several areas in Mindanao.

The suspect hid for almost one month in Rajan Buayan using a different name.

"Nang mapansin siguro nila na may kasama ang ating suspek na may mga tropa tayo naka-deploy tayo roon naka plain clothes, nag-waive po sila ng paggamot, doon na umaksyon na tayo para serve ng warrant of arrest sa kanya,” Captain Joel Lebrilla, PNP Rajah Buayan chief of police, said.

The group faced terrorism cases due to several bombing incidents in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat, including the Datu Piang siege.

GMA Integrated News is still trying to get the side of the suspect who is under the custody of the Maguindanao del Sur Provincial Jail.

“Sa tingin ko mahalaga nakuha natin sila, kahit papaano napigilan natin kung anuman pinaplano nila in the future,” Lebrilla said.
