66-year-old nabbed for molesting 6-year-old grandchild of live-in partner

Authorities have placed behind bars a senior citizen who allegedly molested a minor, the granchild of his live-in partner.

According to Emil Sumangil's exclusive report on "24 Oras", the 66-year-old suspect was arrested in Marilao, Bulacan for alleged acts of lasciviousness against the six-year-old victim.

"Ayon po sa complaint, hinawakan ng suspek sa maselan bahagi ng katawan ang biktima na nagsumbong sa lola," said Police Major Robert Gutierrez, chid of the PNP Maritime Group in Northern NCR.

The suspect said he didn't do it on purpose.

"Natutulog kami, katabi ko 'yung asawa ko. 'Yun pala gumitna 'yung bata," the senior citizen said.

He answered yes when asked if he mistook the child for his wife.

The suspect asked for forgiveness.
