LGBTQ members allegedly assault transgender woman outside beauty pageant
A transgender woman was allegedly assaulted, injured, and knocked unconscious by a group of LGBTQ+ members outside of the Pampanga venue of a beauty pageant.
According to a Friday report of GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon’s CJ Torida on “24 Oras”, the five suspects ganged up on victim Kath Marie, 29, as she was exiting the venue of a beauty pageant where she watched and supported a candidate, she was friends with.
Her friend, who was with her during the assault, said one of the suspects hit the victim’s head with a bottle, causing Kath Marie to lose consciousness.
“Ito namang grupo ng mga suspect, also member ng ating mga LGBT ay parang kinursunada itong victim natin,” Police Lieutenant Colonel Preston Bagangan, chief of San Fernando City Police Station, said.
(The suspects are also members of the LGBTQ+.)
“Umabot sa punto na pinalo siya sa ulo. Nabagsak ang ulo na lost conscious itong victim natin,” he said. (It came to a point the victim was hit on the head and was knocked unconscious.)
Police have already identified two of the suspects and are still searching for the others. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
