Magnitude 6.1 earthquake jolts Catanduanes

A magnitude 6.1 earthquake hits northeast of Bagamanoc, Catanduanes early Wednesday morning, PHIVOLCS reported.

The quake, which occurred at 5:19 a.m. with a depth of 38 kilometers, was tectonic in origin.

This was felt, Intensity I, by residents of Irosin, Sorsogon.

There are no expected damage, said PHIVOLCS, but aftershocks may occur. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
