Magnitude 5.0 quake jolts Calatagan, Batangas

A magnitude 5.0 earthquake hits southwest of Calatagan town in Batangas early Tuesday evening, PHIVOLCS reported.

The earthquake, which occurred at 5:25 p.m., occurred at a depth of 133 kilometers and is tectonic in origin.

The quake was felt at Intensity II in Paluan, Mamburao and Santa Cruz, Occidental Mindoro.

PHIVOLCS also reported that there are no damages expected by aftershocks may occur. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
