Cambodian PM Hun Sen tests positive for COVID-19

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen has tested positive for COVID-19.

Hun Sen announced this on his official Facebook page.

The Cambodian leader met with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. as well as other regional and world leaders during the ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Phnom Penh last week.

Marcos and Hun Sen had a bilateral meeting which aimed to strengthen the relations and cooperation between the two countries.

The Palace has yet to release a statement on whether the President has taken a COVID-19 test after being exposed to the Cambodian leader.

Marcos is set to fly to Thailand on Wednesday to participate in the APEC 2022. —Anna Felicia Bajo/KG, GMA Integrated News
