Veteran Kapuso broadcast journalist and radio host Mike Enriquez makes first public appearance a couple of months after announcing that he would take a medical leave.

The multi-awarded anchor of 24 Oras and Super Radyo dzBB joined fellow news anchors, GMA Network executives, and media partners at the Eleksyon 2019 Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing held today, October 19, at the GMA Network Center in Quezon City.

Mike took a medical leave last August to prepare for his heart bypass surgery scheduled last September. He also revealed that he is being treated for kidney disease as well.

In a press statement, Mike said, “My doctors have told me that two to four weeks after my surgery, I will be able to return to my normal duties.”

He also mentioned, “While I am not yet back on the air, I continue to perform my functions as president of RGMA Network Inc. and as Consultant for Radio of GMA Network Inc.”
