Julie Anne San Jose shares inspiration behind her latest single 'Free'

Time to free yourself from your worries.
This is what multi-awarded Kapuso singer Julie Anne San Jose wants people to feel, whenever they hear her new single, "Free," under Universal Records.
The Asia’s Pop Diva was a guest in the Barangay LS Online show Sikat, wherein she told host Mama Belle during their interview that she was keeping herself busy amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Julie shared, “I’ve been busy, so nakaka-revive kahit papaano, despite the situation ‘di ba parang hindi naging madali for everyone of us, pero tuloy tayong lumalaban and as of now I’m doing good, my family is well,”
And to steer away from all the negativity brought about by the pandemic, she created the song "Free" with the help of her record label to give music lovers a sort of escape.
She explained, “When we were creating the song, gusto lang namin makagawa ng danceable music, upbeat. Tapos, gusto [rin] namin ‘yung mga listener or makikinig nung kanta ay mapaindak sila, mapasayaw sila kahit papaano.”
“It’s always nice na madistract tayo kahit papaano sa araw-araw na nangyayari sa buhay natin.”
The Clash host added that "Free" is a “feel good” song that everyone can relate to. Julie noted, “Tsaka ‘yung pandemic ang daming naapektuhan, tsaka iba ‘yung epekto talaga na naidulot ng pandemic.
“And I hope through this song ay kahit papaano makalimutan ‘yung mga iniisip nila ‘di ba. Kumbaga, we all need that one song para kahit papaano ma-feel better tayo.”
