For the first time, Barangay LS 97.1 brought its Barangay Live Studios beyond the familiar inside the mall into the school campus setting at San Sebastian College - Recoletos de Manila. This special live session brought students as live audiences, giving them the opportunity to experience radio broadcasts in a more intimate and interactive setting.

The program kicked off with an interactive talk at the university’s auditorium. Taking center stage, well-known media personality Papa Dudut known for his love stories and advice, alongside Papa Jepoy and Papa Carlo immediately established a light, relatable atmosphere. Papa Dudut tackled the classic love struggles of college students, blending humor with advice.

The conversation quickly shifted toward deeper life matters when a student asked what guidance he could offer aspiring media communicators. Papa Dudut offered an innovative perspective to match the rapidly changing media landscape, emphasizing the evolving technology that future professionals must embrace.

“Embrace the technology na nagiintay sa inyo paglabas ng eskuwelahan… ang ating platform ay mabilis magbago… kailangan alam mo kung saan ka magaling, kung anong platform ang pipiliin mo, para alam mo, kung saan ka pupunta paglabas mo ng eskuwelahan."

Following the fun and insightful talk, Papa Dudut held a live broadcast of his Barangay Love Stories segment at the university’s College Arcade. Unlike the usual radio broadcast, the program allowed the students to participate actively, with questions and discussions taking place after each part of the story. This created a space where students could listen, engage, and connect with the story beyond the usual radio experience.

This campus-based Barangay Live Studios was suggested by Papa Jepoy, a segment DJ of Potpot and Friends and Program Chair of the Bachelor of Arts in Communication program of the university. His initiative opened a new opportunity for students to witness broadcasting up close and see how the stories are brought to life through radio.

Looking ahead, this event plans to continue bringing the radio studio not only on your devices but also directly to different communities and campuses, bridging the gap between traditional broadcasting and the next generation of listeners.
