Jeremiah Tiangco's "Sa Tuwing Umuulan" lands on iTunes Philippines Top 20
Jeremiah Tiangco reveals his inspiration for "Sa Tuwing Umuulan."
Jeremiah Tiangco has just released his latest single, "Sa Tuwing Umuulan" and it's already making waves on iTunes Philippines where it debuted on the number 13th spot.
The Clash Season 2 Grand Champion said in a media conference that the song reminds him of his late grandmother and uncle, both of whom he was close to.
“Hanggang ngayon ‘pag iniisip ko po sila, mayroon talaga mga questions. Bakit nangyayari sa buhay ng tao? Bakit kailangan mawala ‘yung taong mahal mo?” he said.
He added, “Kaya nung ni-record ko po ito, sobrang heartfelt...May time na teary-eyed po talaga ako.”
In a Kapuso Zoomustahan session, Jeremiah further explained his intentions with the song.
"Ayoko magkaroon ng misconception na 'pag kinakanta ko itong kantang ito, naalala ko lang [ang] lola ko. Sa kanila ko lang dine-dedicate. 'Yun lang yung pinaghuhugutan ko. Pero ang story behind this song is behind lovers."
He added, "Naka-relate rin ako somehow dahil sa past relationships ko."
