Residents of Sitio Tulahon in Barangay Malanang, Opol, Misamis Oriental now have access to clean and potable water after several years of enduring the hardship of fetching water from the river.
The local government formally opened the water valve that would supply water to the area.
Johna Rhoda, a resident for 11 years, immediately processed the requirements for water connection.
“Lisod gyud kaayo ang panubig diri sauna mo dagan pako sa sapa then among ilimnon mo palit ra mi unya karon kaluoy sa ginoo naan a gyud pasalamat gyud mi sa nag kuan ani,” Rhoda said.
According to the barangay, the water supply is a project between the municipal government and bulk water supplier, South Balibago Water Works.

The bulk water supplier has guaranteed the quality of water, which is available 24 hours.
