Farmers worked tirelessly to build a riprap to save the eroding farmlands in Barangay 24 Binaratan, Sarrat, Ilocos Norte.
The eroding land has been growing reportedly and posed a threat to the farmlands, especially with the wet season approaching.
Farmers have joined forces to construct a riprap to expedite the work.
According to the farmers, the spillway was damaged in recent storms, which caused the water to flow in a different direction during heavy rainfall.
