The body of a man who disappeared at the Panganiban Bridge in Naga City, Camarines Sur was located in the water about two hours after he was reported missing.

The man was reported missing around 8:30 a.m. on August 7, 2024 and divers from the Coast Guard Auxiliary found his body around 10:30 a.m. The body got caught in wooden debris about 20 meters away from where he was seen last.

The man was identified as a 30-year-old resident of Barangay Balatas.

Initial reports suggest that the man may have been upset at that time following a quarrel with siblings.

“Nagsusurubahan daa si magturugang, siguro napikon,” Lt. Noel Cortes of the 907th PCG Auxiliary Flotilla Squadron, said.

Local officials have since fenced the area.

“Tiggibo na man po gabos kang barangay. Piglaagan na ning fencing, kaya lang sige man garay diyaran,” Cortes said.
