President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. spearheaded the distribution of ambulances to several towns and cities in Region 1 as part of the 107th birth anniversary celebration of former President Ferdinand Marcos, Sr. in Paoay, Ilocos Norte.
The President, along with PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles and Chairman Felix Reyes, handed out 69 ambulances to various local governments in Region 1 during an event at the Malacañang of the North.
The ambulances were distributed across the region, with 12 units going to Ilocos Norte, 17 to Ilocos Sur, eight to La Union, and 32 to Pangasinan.
Each vehicle is valued at over P2 million, and local officials received the ambulances for their municipalities personally.
In a separate activity in Laoag City, the President led the payout of the government's Ayuda para sa Kapos ang Kita (AKAP) program.
This initiative aims to provide financial assistance to low-income families.
Around 10,000 beneficiaries from different towns in the first district of Ilocos Norte received aid, most of whom are minimum wage earners.
