The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Western Visayas put up learning spaces in evacuation centers in the Municipality of La Castellana, Province of Negros Occidental.
The evacuation centers have accommodated over 1,300 families affected by the volcanic unrest of Mount Kanlaon.
OCD 6 provided tables, chairs, and other equipment for classroom use so children could pursue their studies despite the circumstance.
Six of 11 schools in La Castellana have been used as evacuation centers.
