The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has announced of a scheduled power interruption in parts of Iloilo City on Sunday, February 23, 2025.
The power outage will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. expected to affect the Jaro and Mandurriao Substations of MORE Power, an electric distribution utility provider.
The 12-hour blackout is set for the preventive maintenance work of the 50MVA Transformer No. 2 and other associated High Voltage Equipment (HVE) at NGCPs Iloilo Substation.
“Specific affected areas are determined by the distribution utility. NGCP will exert all efforts to restore power earlier or as scheduled,” the advisory reads.
