A netizen caught the incident on video past 6 a.m. by the roadside in Barangay Linao.

In the video, a man in blue long sleeves, wearing a cap, is seen going near a motorcycle but was thwacked by another man in red long sleeves.

The man in blue long sleeves threw a punch at the person in red.

The exchange of punches took a few minutes more, until members of the City of Talisay Traffic Operations and Development Office (CT-TODA) tried to stop them.

According to Police Lt. Col. Maila Maramag, officer in charge of Talisay City Police Station, the road rage ensued at 6:18 a.m. on March 31, 2025.

The 39-year-old motorist was from the south portion of the road and was about to take a left turn in an alley in Barangay Linao.

The irate motorist accused that the taxi driver did not give way, and that the vehicle impeded the road instead.

The taxi was from the north direction and was headed for south Cebu.

The motorist said that what irked him most was when the taxi hit the rear tire of his motorcycle, and that the 29-year-old taxi driver gestured at him a middle finger (dirty finger).

He confronted the taxi driver that led to the exchange of punches.

Later, the two were able to reach a settlement at the barangay hall and admitted they were both culpable.
