A woman was caught on closed circuit television (CCTV) stealing P27,000 from a sari-sari store in Mangaldan, Pangasinan.
Margie Cabading, the store owner, left for a moment to check on her dogs, unaware that a thief was watching.
The CCTV footage showed the woman entering the store in Barangay Salay at around 2:30 p.m. on April 1.
She looked around, made sure no one was watching, then pulled up her jacket’s hood, put on a mask, and took money from the store’s drawer quickly.
The cash stolen was meant for electricity bills and payment to a liquor supplier.
Cabading said this was not the first time the suspect stole from her store. In 2024, she stole P15,000 and, in February 2025, she took a new cellphone away.
The incident has been reported to the police, and the Mangaldan PNP is coordinating with other stations to identify the suspect.
Rollyfer Capoquian said.
