Police officers, election officials, and volunteers marched together in Dagupan City to push for clean and peaceful elections.

The activity, called Lakad Pangasinan, brought together members of the Philippine National Police (PNP), Commission on Elections (COMELEC), and Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) volunteers. They walked from the St. John the Evangelist Cathedral, passed through major streets, and returned to the church.

The unity walk aimed to promote CHAMP elections—Clean, Honest, Accurate, Meaningful, and Peaceful voting.

It has been a part of the PPCRV’s election advocacy since 2010.

“We would like to claim that in Pangasinan, puwede tayong magkaroon ng CHAMP elections. At ‘yun po ang lagi nating ipinaglalaban tuwing eleksyon,” Janice Hebron, regional coordinator of PPCRV, said.
