The National Flag Days in the country started on May 28, 2025, and will be observed until June 12, 2025.
The Municipality of Leganes in the Province of Iloilo has joined in the observance by hanging Philippine flags at the municipal hall and at the public plaza.
The observance of National Flag Days is a manifestation of respect to a significant event in history that flaunted for the first time the Philippine flag in Cavite on May 28, 1898, leading to the declaration of Philippine independence on June 12, 1898.
