A lamb was born in Casiguran, Aurora with a deformed face, an anomaly that may have been caused by inbreeding.

The lamb requires meticulous care for it to survive.

A technician from the Provincial Veterinary Office, also a farm owner, explained that these anomalies are a result of inbreeding in livestock such as sheep, goats, cattle, water buffalo, and pigs.

Alvin Salamera, the owner, however, said they avoid inbreeding by changing the ram every one to two years to prevent abnormalities.

"Iniiwasan din natin yung pagkakaroon ng inbreeding at least [every] one to two years ay magpalit ng bulugan para hindi na magka abnormalities yung ating mga alagang hayop," he said.
