The youngest among 24 contestants took home the crown as Miss Bangued 2024 in Abra.

Mavee Joy Bayle is just 15 years old.

"I’m young [but it] doesn't mean [that] I'm not capable of winning and getting the crown of Miss Bangued, and I think that is one of the biggest achievements," Bayle said.

She clinched the crown with her answer to the question, “How would you encourage volunteerism and charity in the digital age?”

Her answer:

“I believe that I could do this by coordinating with the Local Government Unit of Bangued in order to create programs and activities that will greatly promote volunteerism and charity, because I believe that social media is not the only way to spread the word, but by also setting a good example and putting up good actions that will greatly influence those people around you. Thank you.”

Bayle also received one special award and three minor awards, including Miss Aficionado, Best in Dapil Festival Costume, Best in Swimsuit, and Best in Evening Gown.

A highlight of the evening was the appearance of Kapuso singer, Asia's Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista, who serenaded the contestants and the audience.

"Congratulations to our winner and to all the lovely ladies, God has a plan for you and I'm happy to sing for you and salamat sa lahat ng nakikanta at nakituwa," Bautista said.

Bangued Mayor Mila Valera recognized the success of the contest.

"We are so happy, the people of Bangued, for the success of Miss Bangued, especially the Dapil festival, the town fiesta of the municipality of Bangued," she said.
