In an attempt to help their guests beat the extreme heat, a resort in Marilao, Bulacan has dropped ice blocks into its wave pool to make the swimmers’ experience refreshing.

Resort staff said ensuring their visitors would enjoy their dip is important, especially with the heat index reaching up to 40 degrees Celsius in Bulacan.

“Ayun po kinontinous na po namin [yung ice pool] parang attraction na din po siya, sinabay na din po, at the same time nami-minimize po yung init ng tubig,” Jim Fernandez, a front desk officer, said.

Visitors can experience the ‘ice pool’ on weekends, twice on Saturdays and once on Sundays. There is no additional charge for the ice blocks.
