In the heat of the election season, stories of ordinary Filipinos striving to make a difference often take a back seat.

However, a 70-year-old man from Kidapawan City refused to be overshadowed. Instead he took advantage of the crowds at election rallies to showcase his products.

Rolly Anggoy, a resident of Makilala, Cotabato managed to draw attention from attendees of rallies as he paraded his handmade miniature bus.

“Ako lang pangkwartahan… wala ma gud koy laing saligan. Mao ra ni himo-himo,” Anggoy said

Designed after real buses, including those of a prominent busy company, his creations have left people amazed.

Anggoy sells his miniature bus at P1,500.

He also brought photos of the miniature buses and trucks he had made before.

Rolly’s passion for making miniature buses dates back to the 1980s.

According to him, his inspiration came from watching actual vehicles, buses, and trucks on the road. Over time, this fascination turned into a craft, and later, into a livelihood.

He said what he is proud of about his work is the durability of the finished pieces.

“Lig-on, bisan sakyan nako. Videohi kay akong sakyan,” Anggoy said.

Residents admired his talent, with some even describing his creations as “beautiful.”

“Gwapo ang kanyang mga sakyanan,” a resident, Lovina Tandelon, said.
