With The Clash 2025 taking center stage tonight, a new breed of recently introduced Clashers will begin their journey to the top by battling it out against former ‘The Clash’ contenders– making for an all-out weekend singing war on GMA-7.
To these 24 aspirants– and to the future 'The Clash 2025' winner– former competition champs John Rex (2023), Naya Ambi (2024), and Mariane Osabel (2021) have a few but moving words to say.
NAYA AMBI (The Clash 2024 Champion):

NA: I value rehearsal times the most, hinding-hindi ko makakalimutan yung bonding naming mga clashers right after the rehearsals.
Those hangouts made my Clash journey even better. Magkatunggali on screen, magkakapatid off screen. We enjoyed each other’s company until the very end.
They made my first singing competition on tv a healthy start for what God has prepared for me that eventually became a huge turning point of my life.
How did winning in The Clash change your life?
NA: Winning The Clash helped me in every aspect of my life.
Physically, it made me discipline myself more when it comes to my vocal routines.
Mentally, it made me realize that whether people love or hate you, stay true to your identity and keep the fire burning for improvement.
Sa journey na to mas lumakas ang loob ko na sumubok at palawakin ang nalalaman ko sa pagkanta.
What tip or advice can you give the new Clashers to thrive and survive in the competition?
NA: Wag na wag mawawala ang puso sa pagkanta. In every song there is a story behind it: relate with it, meditate on it.
Technicality and emotions must be balanced at higit sa lahat always do your best for the One who gave you your abilities.
Your message to the future The Clash 2025 Grand Champion– what should he/she keep in mind?
NA: To this year’s Grand Champion I hope and I pray na patuloy Kang mangarap. No matter what the world says about you, don’t let the fire burn out. Simula pa lang Ito ng journey mo and continue to hope for greater things!
MARIANE OSABEL (The Clash 2021 Champion):

MO: Isa sa pinaka unforgettable experience ko sa The Clash was yung time na nag standing ovation ang clash panel.
Naalala ko, I was so happy and sobrang na touch ako sa mga comments nila about my performance. I was surprised kasi hindi ko inexpect na mag standing ovation sila.
How did winning in The Clash change your life?
MO: Winning the Clash ultimately changed my life kasi natupad ang pangarap ko na maging professional singer and recording artist.
Nakapag release ako ng single at nakapag record ng OST (para) sa mga teleserye. Naging parte ako ng noontime show ng GMA, ang All-Out Sundays. And most importantly, maraming bumukas na opportunities for me.
What tip or advice can you give the new Clashers to thrive and survive in the competition?
MO: Be wise in choosing your songs. Kasi malaking factor ang song choice pag dating sa singing competition.
Be prepared but do not over-rehearse. And lastly, pray and enjoy your The Clash journey.
Your message to the future The Clash 2025 Grand Champion– what should he/she keep in mind?
MO: To our The Clash 2025 Grand Champion, ito na ang panimula ng iyong journey bilang a Kapuso singer.
Just be humble and give your best in every performance you’ll do. There will be a lot of struggles, adjustments and achievements after winning The Clash. BUT! We, your co-Clashers will always be here to support and cheer for you!
JOHN REX (The Clash 2023 Champion):

JR: Nung season ko, pinaka-unforgettable nung Finals. Nagtuloy-tuloy yung taping namin, and saktong finals na so wala na akong boses. Alam ko nasabi ko na ito dati, pero meron saking nakatulong na isang food supplement, pag kinain mo sya pwede mag-coat sa lalamunan mo.
Nakatulong sya sakin para makakanta ako at mailabas ko yung boses ko. Kasi kung hindi po dahil don, as in wala akong boses nung gabi ng finals. So baka natalo ako non. So yun talaga yung diko malilimutan, kasi nangangarag din ako non– ano gagawin ko, wala ako boses!
Sa mga singers dyan, pag nangyari sa inyo ito dapat meron din kayong fallback, alamin nyo ano yung makakahelp sa inyo sa mga times na wala kayong boses.
How did winning in The Clash change your life?
JR: Ang buhay ng isang John Rex bago sya manalo, sobrang simple.
Talagang may mga pangarap na gusto matupad, pero actually bago ako nanalo, hindi ko na sana gusto i-push yung singing dahil tumigil na ako. Pero dahil binigyan ako ng chance, at parang tadhana na ang nagbalik sa akin into singing, sabi ko sarili ko na ito na yung last na subok ko, sa ‘The Clash.’
At tadhana ang nagdala sa akin dito at ipinanalo ako. Sobrang nagbago, sobrang nagkabaliktad, kasi ngayon mas kailangan ko pang may ma-inspire na mga tao, to sing more, at yung improvement ng self ko– yung lagi akong maging ready at patuloy na matuto.
What tip or advice can you give the new Clashers to thrive and survive in the competition?
JR: One tip: dapat nauuna ang pangarap nyo.
Kung pangarap nyo at mahal nyo yung ginagawa nyo, unahin niyo yun, at susunod na lang lahat. Kasi kung mahal nyo yung ginagawa mo, wala kang kailangang pilitin, you just need to sing, give all of you sa performance na binibigay niyo.
At yun din yung ginawa ko, hindi ko iniisip na kailangan kong manalo sa bawat round, pero laging 100% best ko, at kung natalo man ako masasabi ko sa sarili ko na binigay ko ang lahat.
Your message to the future 2025 The Clash Grand Champion– What should he/she keep in mind?
JR: Congratulations sa iyo. Sana mas marami ka pang mainspire, kasi for sure yung journey mo sa Clash 2025 mahirap yan.
I know the feeling, alam ko meron kang mga pinush sa loob-loob mo para makamit yan, at marami kang sacrifices in yourself and your family para makapunta dyan sa championship na yan.
Keep on inspiring people, keep on singing. Palagi kang kumanta, palagi kang magpasaya ng tao.
