The beloved tandem (ShuKla) of Kapuso rising star Shuvee Etrata and Kapamilya birit queen Klarisse de Guzman ended their stint as PBB housemates when they got voted out of the famous reality show during the 6th Eviction Night last June 14.
Their exit saddened many fans who have come to love their vibrant and likable personalities inside the PBB house– Klarisse’s caring tendencies that fittingly earned the Kapamilya singer the ‘mowm’ monicker, and Shuvee’s contagiously competitive but fun spirits– which shone best during weekly challenges.
In an interview with GMA Regional TV News, Shuvee and Klarisse shared their most memorable and least favorite tasks as Big Brother housemates.
“I feel like yung what we did for the charity. That’s my most memorable one,” said Shuvee, referring to the charity task called ‘Sa Mata ng Pagtulong’ where housemates had to stack balls and rings using a make-shift stick in order to build the highest tower.
“Yun din kasi yung laban namin para maging Big Winner, and ako competitive ako sa lahat ng task so I do my best, pero nung ginawa namin yun for charity, mas na-ignite yung fire sa puso ko na gawin ang best ko so thats my most favorite,” explained the 24-year-old Cebuana dubbed as the 'Island Ate ng Cebu.'
Sparkle artist AZ Martinez and Kapamilya duo River Joseph emerged as the winners of the Charity Task, which allowed them to donate P100,000 to the Cancer Treatment and Support Foundation, Inc; while ShuKla’s prize amounting to P30,000 was given to the Leni Robredo-founded Angat Buhay Foundation.
Shuvee also has good memories about the 'Sayaw sa Sahig' challenge, a task that required creativity and flexibility as housemates had to contort their bodies to recreate their logos through floor choreography.
“Yung logo-logo! Ang sakit talaga sa likod nun guys, but at the same time sobrang saya namin sa naging outcome or results nung task na yon kasi ang ganda pala talaga ng mga logo na pinaggagawa namin,” shared the Sang’gre star.
Klang, meanwhile, shared two most memorable weekly tasks: the 'Pinoy Big Pares,' where housemates successfully reached their quota by selling pares and tokwa’t baboy that they themselves cooked; and the 'Big Carnival Concert' that saw the housemates pull off a variety of circus acts for two live production numbers.
“Iba talaga yung naging impact sa akin nung mga task na iyon,” Klarisse said.
As for their least favorite challenge, Shuvee said hers came only on her third day inside the Big Brother house, when Big Brother asked her to keep her mouth shut.
“Yung pinatahimik ako ni Kuya. Grabe talaga yun. Three days pa lang ako sa bahay ni kuya tapos ang first task, nako, manahimik for a week– maybe it's time to repent and really reflect?” Shuvee quipped, “I was also trying to get to know them so yun yung pinakamahirap, kasi hindi ko alam kung saan ako lulugar, eh parte ng personality ko yung bibig ko. So hindi ko sya mailabas kung paano ko magpapakilala sa kanila without even talking.”
Klang, on the other hand, generally didn't like tasks that involved balls.
“Yung pingpong sa akin, at yung billiards. Kasi pag may mga bola, pag talaga connected sa mga balls hindi ko talaga sya gusto eh!” she said jokingly.
Weekly tasks are a PBB staple– the central element around which the reality show revolves– where housemates are prompted to strategize, team up, and even contend against each other for privilege purposes such as the amount of their weekly budget and nomination immunity.
