A 15-year-old boy earlier reported missing was found floating at sea at the vicinity of the Marcelo Fernan Bridge (second bridge) at the Mactan Channel in Cebu.
Personnel of the Mandaue City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), Philippine Coast Guard, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine National Police, and Lapu-Lapu DRRMO, with the help of fishermen, conducted maritime search and rescue operations after receiving reports of a missing person at around 8 p.m. on March 10, 2024.
The boy was rescued from the Mactan Channel and rushed to the Mandaue City Hospital.
