An multi-purpose vehicle veered suddenly into another lane and collided into an oncoming SUV, as captured by a Closed Circuit Television (CCTV).
The vehicle spun around before hitting another SUV.
The accident occurred on the national highway in Barangay Aggay, Bantay, Ilocos Sur.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident.
According to the police, the driver of the MPV claimed to have fallen asleep behind the wheel due to exhaustion from driving.
“Ayun, napagod daw siya sa pagda-drive kaya naka-idlip, sandali ng pagkaidlip [niya] nandun na sa kabilang linya… dun niya napagtanto na nakabangga na siya,” PMAJ Pol Areola, Officer-in-Charge of the Bantay Police Station, said.
Authorities are set to speak with all parties involved in the accident.
