A number of parents expressed alarm over information that have spread online on persons having abducted children in Barangay Poblacion East, Oton town, Province of Iloilo.
In an investigation done by Oton Police, a mother said she received pictures of persons who reportedly abduct children in the said area that has caused panic and alarm among other parents.
However, Oton Police and the Barangay Council of Poblacion East have clarified that the information spread online is baseless and unverified.
Policemen reminded the public once more to always exercise prudence when sharing information and coordinate with the authorities promptly to have the matter investigated.
