A fire razed a bamboo plantation in Sitio Padaga, Barangay Payac, Bangui, Ilocos Norte.
Firefighters had difficulty extinguishing the fire because of its remote location and lack of water source nearby.
Authorities sought assistance from the Philippine Air Force, which conducted heli-bucket operations to help douse the flames.
The fire persisted for about four hours.
Investigations are ongoing to determine its cause, as of this writing.
