Four of five men who escaped the detention facility of the Parang Municipal Police Station in Parang, Maguindanao Del Norte on Saturday, May 18, 2024, have been rearrested.
Police and other law enforcement units launched several operations in three barangays that led to the arrest of the four.
The public is urged to report any sighting of the remaining escapee.
Authorities are investigating how the inmates were able to break out of the prison cell. They did not disclose what the escapees were charged of.
“This incident is a serious breach of security that undermines the efforts of law enforcement agencies to maintain peace and order in our communities,” the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR), said.
