A 50-year-old man who was arrested for drug charges was found with a small sachet of suspected shabu as he was about to be turned over to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) facility in Naga City from the Naga City Police Office.

The sachet was found in his pocket during routine inspection prior to entering the Naga City District Jail Male Dormitory.

Atty. Rodolfo Verzosa Jr., the Jail Chief Inspector and Acting Warden of the BJMP Naga Male Dormitory, said there should have been no such items in the man’s possession, considering that he was under police custody prior to his transfer to the BJMP facility.

The suspect, who already faces two drug-related charges, now faces a third charge for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
