A 50-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy died in separate incidents when a tree fell on their house as Typhoon Aghon dumped rain and hurled winds at Quezon Province.
In Barangay Cabatang, Tiaong, the man was pinned down inside his hut when strong winds knocked down an acacia tree while he was sleeping.
In Lucena City, the boy died when a buli tree fall on their house in Purok Pagkakaisa II, Barangay Ibabang Iyam.
Authorities said the tree struck the teenager in the abdomen.
The bodies of the victims were taken to a funeral home in the city.
Meanwhile, a 13-year-old girl was killed while two others were injured after a tree fell on the motorela they were riding in Balingasag, Misamis Oriental morning on Friday, May 24, 2024.
