Thieves targeted Suyo National High School in Dingras, Ilocos Norte, running off with various electronics and cash.

The culprits stole four hard drives, two laptops, a central processing unit (CPU), and cash amounting to P6,000. 

They also took the closed circuit television (CCTV) hard drive, which contained all the surveillance footage from the school.

There was no security guard on duty at the time of the theft.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) is investigating the incident, as of this writing.

“Sa ngayon, nakiki-coordinate tayo sa ibang units at other stations, kasi sa modus operandi nila ay [may] kahalintulad ng isa ring nangyaring nakawan sa ibang bayan. Kami ay in close coordination sa ibang units sa pagtugis sa naturang kawatan," PCPT. Emerito Mamenta, Deputy Chief of Dingras Police Station, said.

The school administration is yet to release a statement.

Police advise students and school staff to avoid leaving valuable items in classrooms.

“Iwasan natin na mag iwan ng mga mahahalagang gamit sa mga naturang classrooms, especially ngayon na paparating na ang bakasyon," Mamenta said.
