The head of the Porac Municipal Police Station (MPS) in Pampanga was removed from his post to give way to an investigation into an illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) hub raided in the town.

Authorities raided the POGO hub in Barangay Sta. Cruz on June 3 and 4, 2024 for illegal operations and reports of sexual abuse and labor trafficking.

At least 157 foreign nationals and Filipinos were rescued during the operation.

The individuals rescued underwent verification and documentation.

“I was personally informed by the Police Regional Office 3 na he ordered administrative relieve po ng [hepe] po ng Porac MPS po to give way to the on-going investigation, kung determined po na nagkaroon ng lapses o kapabayaan on the part the chief of police, [at] kung bakit po hindi na tunugan ito pong existence po nitong tinatawag po nating scam farm dito po sa Porac Pampanga," PCOL. Jean Fajardo, Chief of the Public Information Office (PIO), Philippine National Police (PNP), said.
