A 35-year-old man was arrested while attempting to secure a police clearance at the Aguilar Police Station in Pangasinan.

Authorities discovered through the Philippine National Police (PNP) system that the man had an outstanding warrant of arrest for violating Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act, issued by a court in Baler, Aurora.

“Kumukuha po ito ng National Police Clearance dito sa ating himpilan at doon natin nakita na mayroon itong ganong kaso at existing warrant of arrest,” PMAJ. Mark Ryan Taminaya, Chief of the Aguilar Police Station, said.

The suspect declined to comment.

As of this writing, the police are now waiting for the commitment order from the court of origin where the case against the suspect is filed.
