A 17-year-old boy stabbed another minor because the latter allegedly bullied him inside an internet café in General Santos City.
In a CCTV footage, five youngsters are seen inside the shop when the 17-year-old boy stood up suddenly and stabbed the victim in the back.
Residents brought the victim to the hospital for treatment.
Police said the knife used came from the boy’s companion during the incident.
Citing witnesses, the police said the boy stabbed the other minor because he was allegedly bullied.
“Gi-bully daw siya sa victim sa internet café… bali giingnan siya baho… gidunggab dayon niya katong nag-bully sa iyaha,” Police Station 3 Deputy Station Commander, Lt. Ferdinand Sahagun, said.
The 17-year-old boy turned himself in to authorities and handed over the weapon he used.
He was placed under the custody of Bahay-Pagasa of the Department of Social Welfare and Development Office (DSWD) since he is a minor.
“Sa ilaha hinuon, na-bati naku nga wala sila nagkonsente…Nagpasalamat ko kay gi-surrender nila,” the victim’s grandfather said.
The owner of the internet café assured security at the shop will be strengthened.
