A 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death by a 22-year-old man during a village disco in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.
Reports said a commotion occurred during the disco and the suspect reportedly went home to get a knife. He then returned to the disco and stabbed the victim.
The victim did not reach the hospital alive. The suspect escaped.
Meanwhile, a 47-year-old man from Cagayan de Oro died after he was hacked several times in Mambajao, Camiguin.
The suspect is the live-in partner of the victim’s former live-in partner.
Police said the victim went to the suspect’s house to look for his ex-partner, but the suspect allegedly got angry.
“Iyang gipangita ang katung live-in partner sa suspetsado nga iyang ex-live in partner kaniadto kay aduna kini tuyo nga kuhaon ang OR/CR sa motor, but then pag-adto sa biktima, ang iyang nakita didto ang current live in partner sa maong babae ug didto nahitabo ang kaning pagpanigbas,” Police Regional Office-Northern Mindanao (PRO-10) Spokesperson, Major Joann Navarro, said.
The suspect was arrested and reportedly owned up to the crime.
“Gitan-aw nato ang anggulo nga pwede kini selos pwede kinit tungod sa gugma,” Navarro added.
The suspect is facing murder charges.
