Authorities arrested two people with suspected shabu worth nearly P7 million at a checkpoint in Toril, Davao City.
Personnel of Task Force Davao flagged down a vehicle for routine inspection and noticed in plain view a box on the passenger’s floor.
The suspects were allegedly evasive when asked about the box and tried to bribe the authorities.
The police personnel manning the checkpoint arrested the suspects and discovered a pack of suspected shabu during further inspection.
The suspects are now detained and will face charges for alleged violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act (RA 9165) and Article 151 of the Revised Penal Code or the Resistance and Disobedience to a Person in Authority or the Agents of Persons in Authority.
